First of All, Mr. Nasheed (Anni) let me thank you for all the hard work you have done over the years to bring democracy to the Maldives. No one can deny the fact that despite several business opportunities you have had, you chose to serve us, the destitute people of Maldives.

With your hard word over the last 15 years and more importantly over the last 15 months, we are now convinced that our country is going to turn a page and rid ourselves from the shackles of dictatorship and tyranny.

Today marks a very special day in our country's history. The fact that you are defying enormous risk to your life and returning to the Maldives despite those threats earns you nothing but respect from me and those of my generation.

Let us assure you Anni, we are with you with our hearts and minds, with our body and soul. We will defend you because we want to defend our future.

Gayyoom will be very stupid to lay even a finger on you. He can take this as a threat or as a words of caution. Gone are the days when we will tolerate his misdemeanours and atrocities. We will tolerate that no more!

Welcome home Anni, we look forward to happier day with you as our Leader! And, once again thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the hard work you have done to make our lives more prosperous and worth living. Thank you!
