Gayyoom Gone Gory & Garish

There are no Maldivians, regardless of age, gender, occupation and location including his own family and cronies who can’t recognize Gayyoom for what he his. A pathetic liar and a brutal dictator! The public is well aware of the reason why Gayyoom’s good-for-nothing family and his ravening cronies put-up with such an undesirable and horrific character: to embezzle the wealth of a nation and deprive the majority of her people from what is rightfully theirs. Well done Gayyoom! You and your gang have achieved your objective. However, be assured, Gayyoom and his elite are our marked public enemy number one. We shall not rest until we peacefully free ourselves from this ever more gloomy dark cloud of Gayyoomiyaa that has been engulfing us for over 26 years. My dear people, the day we can celebrate humanity and ‘good riddance to bad rubbish’ is not just too far away.

Just imagine Gayyoom’s cabinet congratulating him on his ‘wise’ decision to brutalize the peaceful demonstrators who simply gathered to voice out their desire for basic human rights and good governance. The government portrayed view of the demonstrators as a ‘mob of rebellious few’ happen to be the biggest crowd I have ever seen in our capital Male’. Never have many of us ever seen such a thing in our lifetime, which so happens to the entire rein of Gayyoom regime. The government’s relaying of the Black Friday events reaffirms the demonstrators the dire need for more of these demonstrations! Why? For the very basic and simple reason that Gayyoom and his nepotistic regime has lost its touch with the people and that we, the people and he, the dictator do not happen to communicate on common grounds. What Gayyoom calls few happens to be over 90% of Maldivian population. This can easily be proved! Why else would Gayyoom feel the need to block all the websites that give access to Dhivehi Observer? Had it only been a few as Gayyoom and his puppet Dr. Shaheed describes, why waste the effort. The truth is nobody wants hear or listen to any of Gayyoom’s propaganda messages despite being bombarded by them from dawn to dusk!

What has now become a public unnerving nuisance, are the actions of that embarrassingly backward brother-in-law of Gayyoom. Yes, I am talking of our Information Minister Sammarey. His insistence of broadcasting the Gayyoom’s view of the Black Friday and its aftermath has so sickened the public, people not only refrain from watching the local TV and listening to radio but also have started to develop a severe loathing to the presenters of this propaganda. Our message to the ignorant brother-in-law of Gayyoom, dumb-looking Sammarey is that we, the majority of people do not wish to have anything to do, whatsoever, with Gayyoom and his brutalities!

As if Gayyoom’s atrocities of Black Friday against the people are not enough, he and his buddies have engrossed in a new wave of terror. It is well known that all the activities of pro-democracy reformists is affiliated with the word ‘minivan’ (free), as in the case of pro-reform seminars (minivan bahusu), minivan radio and so on. Gayyoom’s puppets are circulating threatening mails in the name of minivan jihad to blow-up various buildings. Gayyoom feels that the Maldivian and the International Community will be fooled by the inclusion of the word minivan. Gayyoom is trying his best to portray the local religious opponents as hardliners who has links with Al-Qaeda. If this is the case, believe you me, the US and the allies would have exposed this association long back during the war against terror. Maldives provides such an easy target for Bali type bombing and what more? Over 70% of tourist arrivals to Maldives is from Europe with Italy and UK topping the list. Are we to believe that Gayyoom’s puppet forces are somehow superior to CIA and MI6? Furthermore, if you happen to be a liberal person opposing Gayyoom, then you are there to spread Christianity. What a joke!

Gayyoom, you are exposed for what you really are. A dictator with no ideology except for barbaric brutality!
