Gayyoom: the congenital liar, going around the bush and repeating the same old lies and tricks

I watched the interview President Gayyoom gave BBC World, broadcast direct from BBC London (For readers information the interview aired on Government controlled TV (the only TV in the country) was censored. I was really sick of what I have heard. The word to describe what Gayyoom is really, as mentioned by Mr. Latheef of MDP a "congenital liar". I do not think there is any world leader who is so clever to lie. Gayyoom being a so called Muslim, the biggest liar in this whole world.

When Mr. President lies to his own people and world he is not able to understand there are issues here that he can't hide. For example, he said on the Black Friday, there were "few" people at the republican square. Look at the pictures taken that day and according to specialists who have closely studied the pictures certifies that there were 50,000 to 60,000 or more people in and around the republican square.

Again, Mr. President said "they" meaning "the supporters of the reform movement" had violence, violence, violence. The pictures clearly shows thousands of peaceful demonstrators, sitting and standing at the republican square. Mr. President also knows that there was a mob sent by his own half brother. Yameen, the most powerful Minister, to disrupt the peaceful demonstration. Does the World know this fact? Well Yameen was very successful in his wicked endeavour. The fact is that Gayyoom has removed Ministers from all Government Business Establishments, because he was forced to balance the Power due to public pressure. He no longer can tolerate to let Yameen be too powerful. In order to save the face of Mr. Yameen, the President had to make this move to appoint number of doctorates, others, who are close friends of Gayyoom as chairperson of those establishments. Any way the chairpersons still have to report to the same Ministers who have been removed. Hence, back to square one.

I really, do not understand how Maldives can be free from the shackles of the traitor, unless otherwise the international community gets involved. Here Mr. Gayyoom knows that he is very clever in his lies and that the international reporters and even the EU fact finding mission will have nothing much they can do. The EU mission will be betrayed with Gayyoom's fantastic lies. Unless otherwise the EU mission demand, conduct own investigations and findings, unlike the Presidential election SAARC observers in the Maldives. Every Presidential election, the SAARC observers are given a nice time in the exotic tourist resorts and a lot of expensive gift by the President. Most of the time majority of the observers is the same old retired friends of Gayyoom and his puppet foreign Minister.

Today, it is the talk of the town that a number of Gayyoom's cronies Ministers are rumouring that, there is nothing to worry about the EU mission. Claiming Maldives is not a EU member, and EU Nations cannot bully, like they have bullied Iraq. In case EU boycott trade and travel to Maldives, Gayyoom will ask his Arab Brothers to send Arab Tourists and Maldives will do trading with the Arab Nations. They are also boasting that the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister (Close monetary friend of Fathulla Jameel) have visited Maldives on this regard. However, reliable sources are giving information that the Kuwaiti FM have paid a visit to Maldives, in order to justify if they will be able to recover the loans given to Maldives. As it has been some time that the loan instalments are not met and now there is political unrest in the Country.

Wake up the international community if you really would help the poor Maldivians, before all reform minded are being systematically eliminated by tyrant Gayyoom. We will never ask you to help if we have any hiding places in the Maldives, at least like Sri Lanka. We will do our job to get rid of the despot. Here today, the idea of the crooked Gayyoom is to give life sentence to those entire reformists under custody of brutal NSS. So that his way is clear for the nest 25 years to be on "Throne".

Today, one of the very senior expatriate teacher told me that he doesn't really know what is going on in the Maldives, while he have been in this country for the past 18 years. However, he has learned only yesterday the full extent of the violation of human rights in the country by Gayyoom Government. According to him they are not aware of this grave problem all these years, due to the fact, that the fear they have as foreigners in the Maldives, because they do not like to get involved. He said the best description he can give to Gayyoom is the Idi Ameen of Asia. The only deference is that Idi Ameen is un educated and Gayyoom having education for some limit.

It is not the reformists who have "derailed" the so called "substantial reform agenda" that Gayyoom have proposed under heavy public pressure. In fact Mr. Gayyoom's proposal was not a sincere one. It was one of his many stunts that he brings about to clear out any opposition that Maldivians may have. Once, again he has fooled his own people. He has taken under his brutal custody all those reformers, including the members of the parliament and Special Majlis (Law makers) tell me any country in this world except Military ruled Myanmar (Burma) who take parliament members under custody without a trail. There is no reason or any legal rights for Gayyoom to take those law makers under custody and torture. It is illegal according to even Mr. Gayyoom's constitution, which he and his half brother Hameed have written. He is going against his own written bullshit.

According to the interview Gayyoom gave to BBC World. He has mentioned "this is a democratic country" shame on him to say democracy. What he said was that the process is that the "Special Majlis" the Law makers to approve what he send to the Special Majlis. This is again dictation. What is he got to do with drafting the constitution? The drafting of the democratic constitution is the job to which the public have entrusted. They are the Special Majlis members.

Well this time he never imagined that the 24 special Majlis member (the leading members now under custody) will have the guts to workout from the parliament. Well all the rests of the special Majlis members are his own rubber stamp members. In fact his brother-in-law Mr. Ilyas Ibrahim the Transport Minister and his Nephew Mr. Shaheen Hameed (a well know lawyer) who is also defending the American educated Miss Jennifer Latheef the daughter of Mr. Mohamed Latheef MDP member, was not present on the first special Majlis session. Reason they are fully aware of the game plan of Gayyoom and his half brother Hameed, speaker of the parliament.

Look Mr. Gayyoom. Have you forgotten where the problem started after your so called reform agenda? Perhaps if you do not remember I will tell you. During the first Special Majlis session, your own dirty half brother Hameed under your instructions tried to steal the rights of the people. Calling for a show of hands against the constitution, instead of a secret ballot as very clearly specified in your own written constitution. Look Mr. President, it is high time you wake up and totally change your way of governance. Don't think that you know the law of the country. The constitution written by you or not, you or your attorney general do not have the ability to translate. The truth is that you, your half brother Hameed and your Attorney General are misleading the entire population. It is your intention to mislead but, tell you what, the Maldivians are no longer stupid and today there are more educated and wise people in this Country.

The real fact on the Black Friday is that the Government misled the ordinary people. Major General Moosa Jaleel informed the crowed at the republican square, after releasing a number of reformers un lawfully taken under their custody. What else the people demand and all their demands will be met by the President. Immediately, those gathered who were not organized with a leader, demanded the resignation of Gayyoom, Hameed, Yameen, Adam Zahir the Commissioner of brutal Police and Anbaree Abdul Sattar the State Minister for Defence (who have bankrupted the National Airline - Air Maldives) and some other Ministers.

You are claiming that you are releasing people after due investigation. Those are kids under 16 years you have arrested and tortured. They have of cause nothing to do with any thing. Your plan is dirty, in taking innocent kids under custody so that you can later say that many are being released after due investigation. We are fully aware of your dirty tricks.

Mr. President. FYI, The world community is not going to standby this time. The world community will scrutinize your type of despots in today's globalized world community. Don't you take any advice from your 35 years experienced foreign Minister? Mind you I am mentioning this. I know you will fire him if Mr. Jameel doesn't give his advice accordingly to suite your dictatorship. I feel very sorry for you for being so stupid. Some 15 years ago I thought you are a good leader. But, I and many of my colleagues believe, since the November 3rd attack that you are a fantastic liar. Let me tell you are a born liar. A great liar, nothing but a liar. In any religion liars are not forgiven. God will never forgive you, the liar. HELL FIRE TO YOU GAYYOOM
