Dhivehi Observer
is currently operated by an internet based group of
volunteers, well wishers and sympathisers for our cause. All
our writers and contributors are independent writers who send
us articles, news items, etc. Once a submission is made, the
editorial board tries to independently verify the news or
reports before we publish them - our commitment is trying to
get the truth out to the public so that people are informed.
Due to the heavy restrictions
placed on us by the brutal Gayyoom is trying to hide the
truth, we are currently unable to make arrangements to have
paid journalists working in Male' as the risks are high for
both parties. When we are allowed to operate as a registered
newspaper in the Maldives, we will be offering long-term
employment to journalist and writers.
