It is rumoured that Gayoom is planning to sell all his properties in the country, including his house (Kinbigasdhoshuge). Perhaps the dictator is worried that after a regime change, the new government may confiscate all his properties and freeze his accounts. He may soon sell all his properties and transfer all his millions to a numbered account in Switzerland.

The message from the people of Maldives to the ageing dictator is that even if he sells his properties we will confiscate those! Those businessmen who are sympathetic to the tyrant may buy his properties but they should know that they are investing their money at their own risk. Even if Kinbigasdhoshuge has a new owner, the people could demand that the land be taken to the state. Those who help the dictator to sell his properties and flee the country should realize that they are helping someone who has taken so much away from innocent Maldivians. They shouldn't have any excuse when their investment is confiscated! So the short message to all businessmen is: don't buy Kinbigasdhoshuge and don't help the dictator flee with our millions.

Gayoom is the self proclaimed "Man for All islands" - the title of his first official biography. The book was funded by a bunch of businessmen who have benefited from his shortsighted and lopsided economic policies. It is rumoured that a similar group of selfish businessmen have funded another biography of Gayoom - this time titled "Father of Maldives".

This book, called Father of Maldives, is planned to be released soon, reports say. The book is being published by a publishing firm in the United Arab Emirates, and is reportedly funded by the likes of Champa Afeef and Waheed'een, to please their master. The book is going to be about the so called developments that Gayoom has brought to the Maldives - hence the name, Father of Maldives

Gayoom could actually be the Father of many things in Maldives. He is the father of spas, father of torture, father of bribery, father of teargas, father of nepotism and the father of goodness-knows-what. In fact he is the Father of everything that is inhumane and repulsive in the Maldives.

As the current criticism of the government gains pace, it is rumoured that Gayoom is finalizing his last minute plans to flee the country. Will we be orphans once our Father (of teargas) abandons us? On the contrary we all wish that this parasite will leave us to fend for ourselves and leave us alone. Hasn't he taken enough from us? Surely he must have millions of dollars in his coffers right now. We want him out, and together we will overcome this regime that has taken so much away from us.

All these years we thought that we had to be grateful to Gayoom for whatever he grants us when we beg from him. Now we know that we do not have to beg from him. We demand and he has to budge. Maldivians can no longer be fooled by this man.

Listen to us carefully Mr. Gayoom. This country does not belong to you. We do not have to be grateful to you for whatever little token gestures that you grant us. You don't own us; and most definitely you don't own our children. You have no right to dictate anything to us. You are just a servant elected (once in 1978, the rest were all flawed and unconstitutional) to serve us. Try to get that through to your head. You can jail us and beat us and let your police force do sadistic things with us (like they did with Evan Naseem), but we are not scared of you or your lovely little Star Force. We only fear Malakul Mauth, and Nakeer Munkir and Allah's Judgment Day and Siraath Magu and Hell. Even you and your police force would be paraded on the same Mahushar Ground that Day. Do you know that? Do you know that Allah is the Great Planner? He knows all your plans and Insha Allah the Maldivian people will be victorious.

You can sell your properties and put those millions in your secret accounts. You can transfer the millions that you have amassed in places that only you know. You can send letters to rich leaders such as King of Brunei (like Fathullah Jameel did), pretending to be a poor pauper, and get many millions more. Do you think that all this money could buy safety for your children and grandchildren and brothers and sisters and in-laws? Can they all live abroad and escape the scrutiny of the Maldivian justice system long after you pass away to meet your Creator? Do you believe that Buruma Gasim and Hassan Saeed and Waheedudeen and Dimms Solih and Champa Afeef and Tasmeen Ali could save you on the Day when you have to answer for all the injustices and cruelty that you poured on the people of this country? Most certainly not.

So let me tell you little dictator and listen carefully. We will drag you back here to this country and bring you and all your cronies to justice even if you all hide in the furthest corner of this world. Do not think that you could have the last laugh. We, the people of Maldives, will, Insha Allah, have the last laugh. Do not think that the Maldivian people are foolish assholes or pushovers. We all know who the real Asshole of Maldives is!
